Frédéric Malle has a magnificent nose. As the grandson of Serge Heftler, founder of Dior Perfumes, he was born, as it were, into the world of perfume. Today, Malle is the director of fragrance line Les Editions de Parfums, an exquisitely unique line of personal and luxurious perfumes created by some of the best noses in the business and dedicated to turning perfume-making into an art form. Each of Malle’s perfumes is ‘signed’ by its individual creator, who has free rein to design their dream fragrance using the rarest raw materials and the most technologically advanced molecules. The result: scents unlike any others, that not only smell beautiful, but ‘become one’ with the person wearing them.
All of the company’s “perfumes without compromise”, including the creamy tuberose scent Carnal Flower and the sumptuous Musc Ravageur, are available in select Mecca Cosmetica stores. These are not perfumes for the faint of heart: they’re voluptuous, intoxicating and sensual, and at selected stores, you’ll be able to experience them in their full intensity in Malle’s famous fragrance testing booths.
