Francis Kurkdjian was not born in Grasse. He was not the child of a line of perfumers. When young he studied piano and dance. But at 15 he decided to become a perfumer.
In 1995, when he was only 25, Francis Kurkdjian created his first perfume, Le Male, for Jean Paul Gaultier. He followed on to create iconic fragrances for Acqua di Parma, Lanvin, Narciso Rodriguez, Ungaro, Giorgio Armani amongst many more and participated in numerous artistic collaborations and olfactory installations.
In September 2009 he founded his own fragrance house: Maison Francis Kurkdjian in Paris.
An ode to his sense of adventure, Francis Kurkdjian’s aim is clear: to play a part in perfuming a person’s life: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. His collection includes everything from Eau de Toilette to Scented Bubbles and Laundry Liquid designed to transform the way we wear and enjoy fragrance.
